Hi Friends! 

Thanks so much for taking time to stop by and check out my new digs on the world wide web. It's been a long time coming, as I first bought this domain about a year ago! Back then, I hadn't discovered hand lettering/modern calligraphy yet but once I got into the groove of it a few months ago, I knew I had to incorporate my lettering into the site (see the header logo? I wrote that!). 

I had many ideas brewing in my brain as far as layout and design was concerned but struggled with translating that onto the page. At first, I signed up with Weebly but the designs and options were limiting and I kept getting stuck. I really didn't want to pay someone to create a template for me as I've done in the past because I wanted this site to be simple! Finally, I decided to check out Squarespace, which I've recommended to others after hearing fellow bloggers rave about it - but wasn't sure I wanted to commit as it's pricier than other platforms. Well, what do you know - the price is worth it! I'm still learning all the different features, but the templates are clean, simple and sleek - and easy to use. It's kinda fun seeing my vision come to life!

This site is a culmination of all of my creative interests as well as a space for me to muse about my faith and just everyday life.  In my past blogging life, I often felt limited because baking/desserts is such a specific niche. I didn't think people cared to read about my personal life because it was supposed to be a blog about sweets! I know now, that's not true at all - even so, that volume of my life has ended. Now, onto volume two. 

I hope you'll come back and visit me in my new "home". I can't wait to share more of what I've been working on and eventually share stories from my travels in Asia the past year. Thanks for stopping by!
