About Lillian
Seeker of beauty + light, sipper of teas, and cancer survivor.
I was born in Taiwan, raised on Long Island and now live in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley with my husband of 16 years.
I’ve always been a maker, from self-publishing "zines" in middle school to baking and blogging through my thirties. In 2015, a year living in Taiwan introduced me to brush calligraphy, a practice I eventually spent years teaching across the Tri-State area and beyond.
When the pandemic hit, I pressed pause on calligraphy to explore photography and tea . But in 2022, everything came crashing down when I received a life-altering cancer diagnosis. That experience shifted my perspective entirely - I realized that I don't have to confine myself to just one path or pursuit — as creatives, our journeys are ever-evolving. As humans, our stories are ever-changing.
As a survivor on a healing journey, I'm embracing all the things that bring a lil’ beauty and light to each day, whether that be tea, calligraphy, or something else entirely.
My hope is to inspire you to do the same.
Thank you for being here.
